Genoa, Nova Systems helps the families hit by the floods
Nova Systems has expressed its solidarity with the people of Genoa hit by the recent floods. During a meeting with Sinergy Cargo, organized in the past few days in Genoa, Valerio Avesani, CEO of Information & Communication Technology, announced an ad hoc project for helping the people in Liguria.
Nova Systems will ask Fedespedi, the national association of international transporters, to pinpoint the most needy families in order to distribute between them, for two years starting from 2015, 5% of profits deriving from contracts signed with transporters from Liguria. The earnings will be distributed to the Genoese directly by Nova Systems.
The society will devolve 5% of profits deriving from contracts signed with transporters from Liguria
Due to the floods on 9 October, which caused the death of a man and devastated the Bisagno valley, hundreds of families have been evacuated. The Regional Government and the Chamber of Commerce have also received 1,724 requests for damages, each for fewer than forty thousand Euros, by private businesses for a total of thirty-one million Euros.
The CEO, Avesani, has underlined that Nova Systems “has been active for over thirty years and has over time evolved sturdy relationships with businesses in Liguria. Given we are heavily involved with this territory, we have decided to demonstrate our solidarity concretely, by helping needy families after the dramatic event in October”.
