Partnership between Nova Systems and Trimble is born
Innovating the transportation sector with cutting-edge software and hardware solutions. This is the mutual purpose that has recently pushed IT company Nova Systems to establish a new partnership with Trimble Transport & Logistics, an international IT provider, based in Sunnyvale, California, present in every continent and in over 150 countries. The protagonist of this partnership is the ERP software BeOne and in particular the FTL module, developed by Nova Systems to facilitate the activities of dispatchers and carriers. The optimized management of the fleet and trips takes a new, further quality leap thanks to the integration of BeOne with FleetCockpit, Trimble’s solution to plan transports in a simple and efficient way.
“We and Nova Systems speak the same language: that of innovation. Like Trimble, we use artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimize the operational side. The partnership with the IT company was born in a natural way since the two products are complementary to each other and are both in continuous development,” says Carlo Rosati, Sales Director Italy at Trimble. Thanks to this agreement it is possible to optimize company resources (fleet coordination, drivers and vehicles), which are completed with BeOne FTL for the management of the transport cycle (customer request, offer, order, trip planning and invoicing). The partnership with Trimble has made it possible to facilitate the activities of dispatchers and transporters through the use of new functionalities, particularly on route calculation and trip management. “The objective shared with Trimble is to create a clear and functional workflow, to put the dispatcher in a position to optimize transport in a safe, economical and sustainable way. BeOne connects with the Trimble platform in an intuitive way: in a single interface there are all the useful elements”, explains Nova Systems Product Manager Giuseppe Riccardi.

The first step, continues Rosati, “was to integrate BeOne with our cartography, while now the telematics part is being released, with the possibility, once the trip has been created, to exchange information directly with the vehicle and the driver. The data, including the kilometers travelled, fuel and CO2 consumption, and the position of the vehicle, are then returned to the BeOne TMS, which is able to automatically manage and store all the elements, with a considerable saving in terms of time. The dispatcher has the situation under control regarding the driver’s service times and driving style, thanks to alerts that are activated in case of non-compliance with regulations”.
Proof of delivery also becomes immediate and easy, managed in real-time with an electronic signature on the device screen by the end recipient. The Nova Systems product allows to electronically store information and to start invoicing in a few clicks, without the need of paper supports.
BeOne demonstrates in this way to be “among the most technologically advanced ERPs and to have an international scope, an essential condition for our company. This special vocation allows us to offer an integrated solution with great potential for the Italian and foreign markets, able to support the business growth of companies in the sector,” concludes Rosati.
